Hello Baby

If you love fun and games, you are going to love this from Barbara Sproatmeyer.  This set is perfect for card making, and you can even take it a step further and decorate a tin, such as an old mint tin, for a fun little pocket game.  Just add dice and some game pieces, and you are ready to play.

Creating this Card:

I decided to create a baby card with the Ups & Downs clear stamp set, and think the blue and yellow combo from the Buttercup Slimline paper packet is perfect.  The Scallop Circle Frame die is my new favorite, and I am not usually a fan of circle dies.  The Circle Frame layers make up the whole pile in the center of the card, and I added a colored and hand-cut elephant as the feature image.  To give a little texture I embossed a couple layers with the Slimline Thatched Embossing Folder.  You will want to die-cut your shapes first, then emboss them, so that you don’t crush the embossed design.

I like the quirkiness of the Cutie ABC die set, and chose it to create the “hello baby” sentiment for the card.

The card feels really balanced, and that makes me a happy crafter.  You can find the products in the Whimsy Stamps online store, and create your own fun too.
