I havent gotten enough of these fun Camp Critters, because he brings a smile to my face every time I look at him. What a perfect little guy for anytime of the year. Wouldn’t he also be a perfect for Valentines day? I love multi-purpose stamps.
Creating the Card
I used a bunch of fun die elements in the making of this card. After embossing the background to eliminate the blank white feel, I popped up an oval to capture the main image. Next I colored and cut out the image and popped it up on the front. I placed it near the bottom of the card to “ground” him as I didn’t want to give the feel of him floating in mid air. The flowers from Kinetic Curved Hills die set help with this as well.
This little scene wouldn’t be complete without sunshine and clouds. The Up in the Clouds die set was perfect. Before placing the clouds and sun on the card I airbrushed a bit of color onto them, and then popped them up on the card.
Note: The yellow in the sun was mimicked by the yellow flowers, and their red centers mimicked the color of the heart. It is nice to repeat colors to create visual balance.
