WOW! Whimsy!

It has been a while since I played with embossing powders but these stamps in the Beaucoup Bouquet were yelling at me!  Do you ever wish for that perfect background stamp?  The Meshy Mesh background from Whimsy Stamps is just the absolute coolest!

Creating the Card

I used glossy cardstock and airbrushed the background.  Then I spritzed it with alcohol to break up the ink and marbleize the paper.  Next I used my Nuvo Embossing Pad and stamped the background with the Meshy Mesh background stamp and a bunch of the flowers and leaves from Beaucoup Bouquet clear stamp.  I think the mesh will now be a favorite background stamp.

I poured the Mistletoe Magic WOW! embossing powder (discontinued) over the image and heat set it.  Don’t you love the sparkle and the rich colors?  If you die cut out all the stamps you can create clusters with them and I chose to make an edge cluster for my card.

All it needed now was a little butterfly, so I used one of the Butterflies Fluttering from the new Whimsy Butterfly set.  Normally I love everything to match but for this card I thought the butterfly should stand out.  When was the last time you saw a butterfly avoid flowers that it didn’t match with?  That’s my point…they will land wherever it suits them.  The sentiment was added using a Make It Crafty chipboard sentiment.
