Florida Copic Retreat – Scrappies!

Classes will be taught by the amazing Jennifer Dove. She is Copic Certified 

Standard/Intermediate Designer and author of Copic techniques Build-A-Book. 
We are so excited that she coming all the way from Arizona to Scrappies!!

Event: “Copic Build-A-Book – 3 Day Retreat”

Saturday, October 13, 2012 10am – Midnight

Sunday, October 14, 2012 10am – 8pm

Location: Scrappies in Palatka, Florida

The cost of the retreat is $379 per person.

For this price you receive:

1.  18 hours of organized classes filled with the latest Copic techniques
2.  Your very own 40 page workbook plus work sheets to color (completed by you) 
  and placed into your technique book
3.  Evening coloring crop times with personal assistance as well as bonus projects 
  to be added to your book.
4.  2 lunches, 2 breakfasts

These classes are perfect for the beginner as well as the experienced. There is always 
information to be gained, plus the experience of a fun, full weekend of wonderful people
with whom to share your coloring passion!

We will kick of the retreat with a Meet and Greet at 10am on October 12. The crop area 

will open to drop your supplies at 10am and classes begin at 12 noon. Dinner is scheduled 
for 6:00 and will be on your own. Dinner will be followed by Copic Introduction class and 
the evening crop will be open until midnight.

Saturday, October 13 will be action-packed with technique classes, challenges, games, and breakfast 
and lunch are included. (Dinner will be on your own). The evening optional coloring crop will be open 
until midnight with instructors present.

Sunday, October 14, after breakfast (provided by Scrappies), we’ll have another full day of classes
and techniques, prizes, and fun. We will break for lunch (provided) and dinner (on your own). 
After dinner we will have a class and then start the evening crop, and farewells will be until 8 pm.

The evening crops are optional, but available for whoever would like to color, relax, and catch up

on worksheets and get personal assistance. Participation in all classes is optional, so you can head out,
at anytime, to enjoy some local attractions.

  • We will test multiple papers and inks and see how they react with Copics.
  • Playing with Various Copic refills for backgrounds
  • Over 5 blending and coloring techniques

  • Monochromatic
  • Fur and Feather
  • Wood and Metal
  • Sky and Water
  • Snow and Transparent (ie glass)
  • Blue jeans, Pleats, and Folds
  • Leaves and Grass
  • Pottery
  • Bonus Classes: Water coloring with Copics, using Glossy Cardstock, and playing with Airbrushing
