Sometime I create a card and when completed it gives me all the feel-goods! This card is one of them. A dreamy image with a balanced layout, in an artistic form. I wanted to give it the feel of the sea. With a bit of inking and a stencil, I feel it totally worked. Not hard to accomplish either.
For this card I used the brand new Mermaid Whispers stamp set and placed the adorable image over the inked Giraffe stencil. Who would have thunk?! I shared how I accomplished this look below.
Be sure and check out the whole release that went live today.

If you haven’t tried the StickyMate it is a game changer. The StickyMate holds your paper and the stencil in place. The paper doesn’t tear, no tape is needed, and the stencil won’t move….GAME CHANGER for inking.
I put a piece of white cardstock on the mat, and placed the Giraffe stencil over it. Using my juicy Catherine Pooler stamp pad and the blending brushes, I inked up the paper. Once the stencil was removed I used a paint brush and white opaque paint to add some “foam” to break up some of the lines where the white and blue meet. Give it a moment to dry, and then die cut with the Bubbly die. The outer layer of the die cut was popped up off the card.
Color your feature image and pop it up off the middle of the card. Finish it off with a sweet sentiment. A mer-mazing card!
