Want a quick easy card for that fisherman that you know? Check this card out. This cool stamp set in another fun one from the current Whimsy Stamps release. Did you “catch” that…I said “current”. I love play on words. Check out the easy card making details below.
Creating This Card:
I started out with all white cardstock. I took a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of cardstock and random stamped the fish using a Versafine stamp pad. I chose this stamp pad for the dark crisp lines it stamps. And long as you aren’t using alcohol markers to color them in, it is the best I have found. I should try my Catherine Pooler ink, but they are packed up at the moment. I also stamped the sentiment at the same time.
I cut down the panel with the fish using the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die. Once it was die-cut I cut out a portion in the center. This will allow the pieces to be separated and still fit on the card. Using my OLO black marker I made a panel of stripes and a layer to feature a black edge around the whole thing. I adhered the black layer and stripe on the card base. The bottom half of the fish panel was placed over it with foam tape to pop it up. The top portion was adhered straight down. I finished it off by layering the sentiment and popping it up off the card. I had one more fish stamped, so hand cut it, and placed it on the sentiment.
