Roaring Birthday

What do you think about this “roaring” birthday card? Definitely time to celebrate with a new release!  For this card I set the cute lion in a jungle setting using a great background stamp.  I so love release day, because I have been sitting on some cute stuff, just waiting to show them off to you.

Creating this Card:

For this card I used Catherine Pooler Martini ink pad to stamp the fern background.  The amazing coverage the ink gives is hands down the best.  The wide range allows you to have just the perfect match that you are looking for.

After coloring this lion, and hand cutting it out, I placed him on a white panel with stitches. I wanted the angled platform so I die cut white cardstock using the Wonky Windows 4 die.    The stamped Fern background was die cut using the Extreme Postage die and popped up off the card front.  Then the lion and panel was popped up off the fern background.  I added the sentiment celebrate, using the Celebrate Word and Shadow die, to the top white panel.  The stamp set comes with leaves, so I colored and hand cut them, adding them to the card.

Don’t forget to use your Nuvo Crystal Drops as a quick and stunning way to accent your card, just like I did here on this card.

I am looking forward to coloring up the hippo next!!
