I love stripes, and thought I would create a slimline Christmas card.  For this card I didn’t want the stripes to be candy cane colors, but more of an elegant black and white.  I saw the design in my head, and put it onto paper using the NEW Slimline Pines stamp set.  This was a pretty quick card, and I created a cool envelope to go with it.  Details below.

Creating this Card:

I started out by die cutting a frame from the Slimline Scenic Countryside die set, and then popped it up off the black and white striped pattern paper.  Once The pieces were assembled I wrapped it with some fun dot ribbon, and adhered to the card base.  This made for a sturdy slimline card.  The main image from the Pines Slimline stamp set were colored up, I adhered it to the card front, and added the sentiment.  The pines needed a little sparkle, so I used Diamond Dust glass glitter to add that special touch.

I wanted a fun matching envelope, so I created an envelope to compliment the card with a fun black and white checkered pattern paper using the Slimline Envelope Builder die.  Did you know Whimsy Stamps has two envelope builder sizes?  You can find the other side HERE.
