Moonlighting

I thought I would create a fun slimline shaker card today using some super cool new products.  These products all went together so beautifully.  I REALLY love the lamp post die and will be able to use that year round.  You can always check out the whole release HERE in the Whimsy Stamps store.

Creating this Card:

Get ready for some fun creating this card.  The first step was to cut out all the pieces.  I die cut the front panel using the new Slimline Wobbly die, and then stamped it with the Vintage Wallpaper rubber stamp in yellow.  Something about the combo of yellow and black that make me happy!  A second and third layer was die cut in black and white and adhered to the front piece slightly off center.  These layers were popped up using a double layer of foam tape, shaker material added in the windows and then placed onto a black gingham pattern paper.  The card base is now complete…time to build up.

Using Elvira Moonlighting die, I die cut the lamp post, Elvira, moon and bats out of white cardstock and rough colored them in the grays and yellow (colors below).  When I say “rough colored”, this means I didn’t worry about a perfect blend…more or less scribbled the colors in.  These pieces were then placed on the card front as shown above.  The last thing was to add the sentiment from Happy Halloween die set, of which I cut out of black cardstock.

Be sure and get your Halloween stuff whipped up before the clock strikes…time is a tickin’.
