I thought this was a such a cute digital and just had to color it up. The orange and blue together are a favorite combo of mine, so thought I would combine those colors to create this card. Some of us have extra time on our hands and if you want to practice short flicks then this would be perfect for you given he has such a lovely mane to practice on.
Creating the Card
Using Courageous Carl the lion, printed at 75%, gave me a perfect size for the card front. Once he was colored I layered him on three white die cut cardstock pieces using the Rounded Rectangle dies. These layers were then attached to an embossed piece of cardstock and adhered to the card base.
Did you know you can create your own embellishments by coloring and die cutting? That is just what I did. After coloring some white cardstock in the rich blue colors I used the flowers from Build-a-Basket to create the complimenting elements around the rectangle layers.
You can find these fun bits and pieces for this card at the Whimsy store using the links below.

Thanks.
I don’t think I realized Whimsey had a digital collection! I’m going to have to check it out. Love how you used your copics to make the flowers the exact color you wanted them to be. As always, I delight in all of the little details on your cards! Smooches!
