A Fishin’ We Will Go – Just4FunCrafts

I am here today to share with you another amazing stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Fishermans Basket. Isn’t this just the perfect “guy card”? The process for creating this was as enjoyable and as peaceful as the image itself.

Creating this Card

Being that Fishermans Basket is such a detailed image (although quite easy to color), I wanted to keep the layout on the more simple side. The moment you add boys and buttons it becomes more feminine. I stamped the background using Cozy Blanket background stamp in brown and then used a sponge dauber to color it up in a few places. The blue cardstock was used to draw out the color blue in the image and separate the layers.

A simple hemp twine was used to add a little element so it doesn’t appear flat.
