This little sweet piggy, from the latest La-La Land Crafts release, has been a busy little guy. Isn’t he adorable running around collecting flowers? He is one of the adorable gardeners from the clear set This Little Piggy.
I also have been busy creating with the latests pile of releases and enjoying my creative time. It’s about time for me to start thinking of next months releases and coloring up packaging, so I might be a bit absent from posting for a few. At least I can not say “all work and no play”!
Creating the Card
The layering of the card was created by placing a red piece of cardstock, a white scalloped rectangle and a white piece of cardstock stamped with Simple Joys in Rhubarb Stalk Memento together to create the base. After stamping the image and coloring it with a tad bit of creative color placement, I did a second image stamped with the Simple Joys background stamp and then colored the clothes with the red Copic markers. I then fussy cut out the clothes and added it to the main image.
I used the Scalloped Rectangles again and cut out the image because I like to repeat layers to create uniformity. This layer was placed on red and peach cardstock and adhered to the card. After die cutting two pieces of red with the Trellis die I placed them in both corners with the larger piece at the bottom for visual weight and balance.
The words from the set were hand stamped and layered to repeat the peach image mat color. Next I created the cluster using the watering can. prior to adhering the can I colored it a little with the gray markers and then popped it up on the right of the card with the vines extending out of it.
I love the feel of the card when it was all completed.
