Let Your Sun Shine

Today I have a super fun card using Paper Smooches Unicorn from the set Spectrum.  What a fun selection of stamps.   Paper Smooches was one of the fabulous sponsors at my Copic Boot Camp.  We were given some amazing clear sets and I was lucky enough to get to play!  If you haven’t seen their stamp and die line you must check it out because they are fabulous.

This is an Arizona based company and if you are local swing into Our Creative Escape to see them in person.  They also have fabulous Painting classes where you can paint, drink and have a great time with your friends.  Click on the above link to check out the details.

Creating this Card

For this card I stamped in a no-line color, Angel Pink Memento.  I also stamped the Unicorn on some fun stripe paper.  Being that the lines were so light it was harder to cut out amongst the pattern, but I persevered.  Once it was cut I put in the shading using my Copic’s in the darker areas using my  C1 – 5 markers.  I cut out all the pieces by hand as they were simple shapes and then assembled.  I placed it over the Curved Hills fence and the Card Builder Window die frame from Whimsy Stamps.  To finish it off I colored some buttons and gave them a spritz of rubbing alcohol to texture them.  This is a super fun card don’t you think?

    1. Thank you, The Unicorn is the perfect unicorn for paper-piecing. Might have to do it again soon 😉
