Gnome Home

There is no place like Gnome

You MUST join the Club La-La Land Crafts kit club!  This was a past Club kit and Oh MY Gnome!!!!  I have been just waiting to have a moment to play, and this ended up being a 6 hour card.

I used so many different products from La-La land to create it.  Oh what FUN!!  It is your lucky day, these products are now available in the La-La Land Crafts store.   Read below for more info.

There are different subscription you can choose from.  From the full subscription which is the stamps and the dies, to just the stamps or just the dies.  Be sure and check it out HERE.

Its your lucky day though…after length of time a kit will be released.  For this kit you no longer have to wait for them to be released.  You can find all the products from this kit now available in the store.

Creating this card

In this cards I used Wood Planks and Wood Rings background sets to create the gnome home.  After cutting out the largest ring in the Wood Rings background I colored it up.   Using flower soft on top to create the mossy look I then built the scene.  The Wood Plank background was stamped, colored, then I used the largest die in Large Stitched tag die to cut it out.  Because I rounded stitched corners I turned the die upside-down and placed on the bottom layer.  I then colored and cut out a second Wood Plank background to create the doorway.

I had to color up the little gnome and the gnome Marci with some creative color placement because thats how my brain thinks.  This is when you put ink on the image to exaggerate or accentuate certain features.  After doing a little paper piecing for her dress and hat, I added gray to the shadowed areas prior to gluing it on Marci.

Next came the dies so I die-cut each one onto white cardstock so I could color it how I wanted with the colors of my choosing.  The sentiment that comes with Marci was perfect for this little gnome home and was stamped onto the stitched rectangle from The Curved Pocket die set.

Talk about therapeutic coloring, taking time and coloring her and then enjoyed the process of creating a scene with all the delicious stamps and dies.  Including the whole thought process that went into this I would say this was a 5-6 hour card.  But that is ok because sometimes we just need to forget everything else and create!

Now it’s your turn.  If you duplicate this idea you will save at least a few hours because I have already come up with the design for you.   I can’t wait to see what you do!

You can find all the bits and pieces to create this over-the-top fun card at La-La Land Crafts now.
