Yes, I meant shiny. I made an attempt at doing shiny armor with this sweet little Knight Luka from La-La Land Crafts. Okay, I did say attempt only because his helmet looks a little funny because it looks like a more rolled shaped helmet rather than a nice gradual smooth helmet. But sometimes you just gotta say “it is what it is”. Overall I am pleased with the results down to the last little details of the nail studs in the armor, or whatever they used to hold it together back then.
Card Details
I colored up little Knight Luka using my Copic Markers and then fussy cut him out because I wanted limited white on the card. Using the new released Tall Castle die I layered it twice and colored some yellow paper to place in the window. Normally I would have grabbed my Small Star die set for the stars but this time I used Shooting Stars and cut off the tail.
I wanted a sentiment that was larger, so I decided to go with the sentiment from the Once Upon a Time background set. Adding some small details to the sentiment to break up more of the white area. I think it ended up being a well rounded card layout.
Have you tried coloring shiny metal? I find the best approach is pulling up images off a google search and trying to mimic what you see. For this images I used 5 different images to use as reference. Give it a shot you might like what you see!
