Friend Like Ewe

PRODUCT ALERT!!! I rarely do a shout-out for a perticular product, but I figured I would be holding an important secret if I didn’t share this one. If you love to stencil, you will not want to pass this item up. I personally struggle to stencil because no matter how much I tape a stencil down, it still moves…or my paper gets torn. I actually avoid stenciling. I am avoiding NO MORE!!

Introducing Whimsy Stamps 8 x 10 StickyMate tool. I got to play a bit the other day. This thing is cool. You peel off the thinner clear protective sheet on one side if you want to stick it to a class surface. If you don’t care if it’s stationary you can leave this backing in place. Next you will peel off the printed thicker protective sheet. This is the side you will lay your paper you are going to stencil onto, then placing the stencil over top. The stencil sticks down so nicely.

I was super worried that because the surface was so sticky, that the paper would tear. It was magic…the paper came right up without a fuss. The stencil sticks very well, keeping it from moving in the slightest. WOW! When project is done just put the printed grid back on to keep it clean. If you get ink on the mat, gently wipe with a damp cloth or a wet wipe. Do not use alcohol to clean. If the mat loses its desired stickiness, just gently wash with mild soap and water, air dry, and the stickiness returns. All the upkeep info can be found HERE. I added the link below. For this card I stenciled the background with the new Rainbow Landscape Layering stencil. I decided to use two stamp pads, a gray and a black, to keep it subtle. I added layers of grass, a cool sentiment die and a cute image. I love this stamp set from Whimsy Stamp from Dustin Pike collection. It is called Friend like Ewe. This was super fun to create.
