BIG Smile

Did you know you can create a card, and easily make an envelope to match?  Whimsy Stamps has both the A2 size, and a Slimline size envelope die.  I love having this option, as it adds an extra special touch to the card.  Plus the postal worker gets to see something other than a white envelope.

Creating this Card:

There are a lot of fun layers on this card, and as you can see I used a bunch of products too.  You of course can simplify it if you choose to create a quick card.

I stamped the Curly Q’s background stamp onto white cardstock, and then cut it out using the Wonky Stitched rectangle die.   After coloring the main image, and hand cutting it out, I popped it up on a white piece of die cut cardstock, and added a purple pattern paper to the bottom of it.  The sentiment “smile” was then die cut twice and added to this panel.  All the layers were added to purple cardstock, and then to the fun Sweater embossed paper, and popped up off the Curly Q’s paper.

Making the Envelope:

Using the  Gingham background stamp, I created the envelope.  I started out by die cutting the pieces out of white cardstock, and then I stamped the gingham using a purple stamp pad.  Once I had the pieces done I adhered them together.  The A2 Envelope Builder set comes with an insert for your envelope as well, and so the inside of my envelope has the Curly Q’s pattern added to it.
