The Great Outdoors

I know the season for being outdoors is slowly heading south for the winter, but you can still create them using this simple concept. What a great “dude” card, don’t you think? I am enjoying combining multiple stamp sets on my cards lately. I am currently whipping up some fun samples to represent some of the great Whimsy products for the Jenn Dove’s Boot Camp, the yearly coloring retreat in Arizona.

Creating this Card:

I recently discovered Catherine Pooler Designs fabulous ink pads, and now I am loving solid stamp stamping, and background stamps again. They are so creamy, rich, and leave a fabulous crisp image when used. You will be seeing a lot more hand stamped backgrounds in the future from me.

The stamp pads makes a great combination with the new Seasonal Trees clear stamps, and on this card you can see I stamped the pine silhouette under the main image, as well as another tree for the foreground.

I used the Canoe rubber stamp and die cut it using the Notched Rectangle die. After adding the complimenting cardstock layers I used the Friends Word and Shadow die as the sentiment. I think the Canoe is currently out of stock, but you can get on the email list for when it comes back, and there are only a few of the Seasonal Trees currently available in the Whimsy store, as it is quite popular.
