Sorry You Have the Bug

This little Praying Mantis (or cricket) says it all in his expression, and made me fall in love with this new stamp set even more.  I thought it would be a perfect use, to send a little bag of tea to help someone feel better.  Kind of like a warm hug.  This fun little card is part of my upcoming card class in Arizona, but you too can grab inspiration from it, as well as the stamp set, and create your own version.

Whimsy Stamps, Card making, Dustin Pike

Creating this Card:

Quick and easy.  Stamp the Mantis, and color him up.  This piece will be cut out with the center of the Slimline Scallop Edge die, and then layered onto black cardstock.  I hand cut this piece to match the curve of the die cut image, and these layers were placed onto the die cut pocket.  I wrapped the pocket with a black ribbon, and then adhered it to the card base layers.  The best grass die out there is the Grass Top by The Stamp Doctor, and all I needed to do was slip it under the ribbon.  I have a discount code below for the grass if you love it too.

Don’t forget to add something good to the pocket, such as chocolate or tea.  There is nothing like receiving a homemade smile, and a little surprise.

  1. Love your card. Tried to pin it but it doesn’t show up….just a black screen and info below…do you know why? I’ve always pinned your cards because they are so cute. Thanks for sharing.
