Hey Dude – Surfs Up – Just4FunCrafts

If you fell in love with the Dustin Pike Hippos you are going to love this new release Hippo Fun in the Sun, with three adorable hippos doing beachy things. I pared this cool dude up with some fabulous dies that you might love as much as I do.

Creating this Card

Using fun tropical colors, I created this colorful card. Nothing says summer like teal, magenta and orange. The Meshy Mesh large rubber stamp is perfect for creating backgrounds to compliment your coloring. You don’t need any fancy pattern paper. If you haven’t checked out the large selection of background stamps you can find a large assortment at Whimsy Stamps HERE. They really do make card making more simple.

Once you have colored up this little surfer or any image for that matter you can pop it up off the front with some fun border underneath like I did. For my border I used the bubbles from Bats and Bubbles die set. I thought it felt like water bubbles.

No beach card is complete without the sun. The Up in the Clouds die set is a favorite of mine and I sure do get a lot of use out of it using the layered sunshine or the different cloud sizes. This set even comes with some fun Gulls.
