Spring Chick

Spring is coming I promise.  With Spring comes beautiful flowers, sunshine and a little bit more outdoors fun.  I thought I would create this card to feel like spring.  What an amazingly fun combo using the newly released stamps and dies from Whimsy.  Perfect for that Spring vibe.

Creating the Card

This card was pretty easy to make using all the supples below.  I had a fun birthday card in mind when I created this with the funny sentiment that is part of this set Easter Spring Chicks clear stamp set.

I created the inner oval background with the Criss-Cross Gingham background stamp by coloring the stamp with the karin marker and then spritzing it with water.  After stamping it onto the white cardstock I die cut it out using Spring Ovals.  The far back complimenting paper was created by taking the Karin watercolor marker and scribbling on a glass mat.  I misted it with a bit of water and then layer the cardstock over the ink.  See how nicely they go together?  I love my Karins!  Whimsy carries a beautiful selection.

I die cut the ornate ovals out and popped the layers up on the card.  After stamping and coloring the main images I hand cut them out and arranged them onto the card front.

This birthday card should give someone a little giggle.
