How dreamy is Sassy Mermaid Molli? La La Land did not disappoint with the latest release. I know you have been seeing a lot of different dies and stamps from this last release and I hope your are enjoying the inspiration as much as I have enjoyed creating them!
A few key pieces that I used to create this card are the Sea Shells and the Fishing Net dies. I wondered when someone would create a super awesome net and look its finally here! The shells were created by layering them twice…the first cut is die cut out and the second layer I left the pieces in. I added some chunky glass glitter from Stampendous to the net to create a little more texture and it brought in that perfect shimmer to the card. I need to use this product more often…it’s delicious!!
When I created this card I didn’t have anything in particular in mind for the final piece. I started by coloring her skin normal skin tones. I chose red hair….then I picked my papers. Once the papers were chosen I colored the rest of her to match. I wanted to carry the green a little more into her skin tones so I went back over the original skin tones with the greens to tie it all together. I think it makes her a little more organic in feel. I didn’t feel the card needed a sentiment but could add one if the special occasion comes up. I will leave her for now.
