I Pike’d These For You

Yes I meant to say “Pike’d” and not picked…snicker!  It’s a mothers day release and the set he has for you is super perfect!  I love this little dirty bear.
How do you pick the colors you will use on a card?  This is a question I commonly get asked.  This is what i usually do.  I start by coloring the bear (everyone knows bears are brown and black.  And dirt is dirty..that goes without saying.  Next i go sort through my pattern paper for one that brings me warm fuzzies.  After i choose my pattern paper I return to coloring my image….now I can finish it off by matching my ink to the pattern paper.  i chose to accent the burgundy in the pattern paper.  As i usually get too matchy I decided to color the pants in blue.  But wait, there is no blue in my pattern paper…what to do, what to do?  I solved this by adding a blue mat.  it brought it all together.  Enjoy your coloring…I hope this helped.

And I love this card – the colors are great. And no wonder your cards always look so good – you have a method to your madness!
